The 8th World Parkinson Congress, hosted by the World Parkinson Coalition, will bring together people with Parkinson’s, care partners, researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, advocates, and others from around the world.

For the Parkinson’s Puzzle Project, this gathering represents something much bigger than reaching a destination.

It is Day 1,000.

Over these 1,000 days, we will listen, learn, travel, write, research, connect, encourage, challenge, and invite people throughout the Parkinson’s community to add their piece to the puzzle.

Our guiding question is:

What will we arrive in Québec City with—in our hands, in our hearts, and in the Parkinson’s community—on Day 1,000?

Our hope is to arrive with The Parkinson’s Puzzle established as the most broadly endorsed, multidisciplinary, evidence-responsible, practically useful Parkinson’s book of its kind.

But the journey isn’t about one person or one book.

It is about what we build along the way.

Beginning in Northern California. Reaching toward the world. More than 50 Parkinson’s communities are only the starting point.

Every conversation matters.
Every story matters.

Every piece matters.

We don’t pretend to have all the answers. We will follow the evidence wherever it leads. We will listen to people whose experience is different from our own. And we will distinguish between what we know, what we believe, what we hope, and what still needs to be discovered.
